2nd Conference in Edessa on “Environment and Health – Management of Health Problems”

Once again, under the auspices of the Pella Medical Association and with the support of the Municipality of Edessa, as part of lifelong learning for citizens and the training of our students, a conference was held on Saturday, November 4, with the theme: “Environment and Health – Management of Health Problems.”

The conference was organized this year by the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Programs of the Department of Medicine at AUTH: “Health and Environmental Factors” and “Management and Organization of Health and Social Care Services.”

Speakers analyzed interdisciplinary topics related to the environment and its effects on the onset of various diseases, the socio-economic phenomena that adversely affect human health, and modern health problems. Postgraduate students were given the opportunity to present their research work and engage in constructive discussions with professors and the public.

We warmly thank the community of Edessa for their warm hospitality, the mayor of Edessa, and the Pella Medical Association for supporting the conference.
