Objective

The MSc program focuses on postgraduate teaching, research, training, and specialization of new scientific personnel in Health and Environmental Sciences. A particular emphasis is placed on acquiring knowledge and skills in both basic and applied laboratory and clinical research.

Purpose

The purpose of the MSc program is to study the impact of environmental factors on various human diseases. This understanding is fundamental to elucidating the etiology and pathophysiology of these diseases. Most diseases in modern society are of multifactorial origin, making the study of environmental influences on these conditions crucial. The program identifies key environmental determinants that affect health and disease through molecular and histological research.

Areas of Study

In this MSc program, diseases related to biological factors, organic and inorganic materials, and factors stemming from the natural or built environment are studied. Research is conducted at both the molecular level—using modern methods to detect mutagenic and pathogenic agents—and at the histological level, utilizing immunohistochemistry techniques and observation through optical and electron microscopy.
