Responsibilities of administrative staff
The staff of the secretariat of the DPMS has the following responsibilities:
- It is responsible for the implementation of the PS, the monitoring of attendance, progress and the successful or unsuccessful completion of studies in accordance with the applicable legislative framework.
- The processing of the bureaucratic actions required for admission, attendance and graduation through the electronic secretariat system
- Communication with students by telephone or in person during the hours set by the DPMS administration
- Management of the student registry, course declarations, classes/attendance sheets, student applications for processing, issuance of certificates, graduation and the swearing-in of postgraduate students.
- Daily communication with lecturers utilizing all communication channels of the program by electronic mail or by telephone.
- Prepares the agenda of topics with the director for the meetings of the Academic Council, participates in and records the minutes of the meetings.
- Updates and renews the website of the DPMS and updates the necessary information material (study guide, academic calendar, announcements, teaching program)
- During the application period, collects, processes, registers and organizes the data of the candidates, prepares the files for evaluation, monitors the progress of the applications and provides personalized guidance via electronic mail to the candidates.
- Maintains communication with the services of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Department of Studies, MODIP, Central Library, Information Technology Centre, Liaison Office) and bodies outside the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (such as DOATAP, University Institutions).
- Participates in certified training programs in order to obtain personalized training.
- Organization of workshops and scientific meetings on topics related to the subject treated by the DPMS.
