Programme regulations

Institution of Academic Advisor The interaction of the Academic Advisor with the student is one of the most important factors in effective learning at the D.P.M.S. Specifically, the academic advisor is a faculty member with the sole responsibility to provide adequate information and systematic guidance to students during their studies, but also upon their entry into the D.P.M.S. Upon completion of the admission process to the program and before the start of each academic semester, students are encouraged to have at least one meeting with the Academic Advisor, in order to examine the limits of their choices, to understand the possibilities presented to them and to methodically formulate an individualized study program. At the same time, the Academic Advisor’s regular communication with the students contributes to the continuous feedback and improvement of the program. In the context of the internal evaluation, the Academic Advisor informs the director and the EPC of the students’ observations that highlight any weaknesses, potential deficiencies or malfunctions of the program in order to evaluate and utilize them appropriately and in line with the expectations and needs of the postgraduate students. It is noted that the content of the discussions is confidential and the student’s personal data is protected by the Academic Advisor. In the event that a student feels that he/she does not receive an adequate response from the Academic Advisor, he/she addresses the Department Chairs directly.
