Learning Outcomes

The learning outcomes and skills that graduates of the I.P.M.S. can develop during their studies are specified per specialization as follows: Specifically, graduates of the I.P.M.S. are able to: have excellent education and familiarity with issues of law, international relations, economics and administration, communication and cultural mediation in relation to the management of migration and refugee flows. 1) Have a critical understanding of international issues and the approach of the international climate and the culture of states to issues in the field, 2) Understand the challenges of mobility, 3) Exercise high-level research, analytical and information skills in covering issues from a Global rather than a national perspective. 4) Have a critical understanding of migration flows, 5) Have skills in the production of digital content, 6) Transfer/serve an information organization in a digital environment. 7) Understand the importance of population movement in modern global society, 8) Utilize the appropriate form of communication for each risk category, 9) Exercise high-level research, analytical and information skills in covering mass migration from a methodical and socially responsible perspective. The Postgraduate Studies aim to promote knowledge, develop research and the arts, as well as meet the educational, research, social, cultural and developmental needs of the country. Also, in the training of high-level scientists capable of contributing to theoretical and applied areas of specific disciplines, in the in-depth study of special thematic units or individual disciplines of the first cycle of studies of the relevant Departments, as well as in the production and transmission of knowledge, know-how, methodologies, tools and research results in the scientific field in which each Department is active. In addition to their scientific and professional training, graduates of the D.P.M.S. have the ability to: 1) apply theory in practice, 2) communicate orally and in writing in English, 3) search for, analyze and synthesize data and information using modern technological means, 4) work both individually and in groups in an international and interdisciplinary environment, 5) approach the subject of their work in a critical, innovative and creative manner, 6) respect diversity and cultural diversity, 7) demonstrate professional responsibility and social sensitivity regarding issues of gender, the natural environment and human rights, 8) promote free, unprejudiced and critical thinking.
