Tuition Fees and Support

The Postgraduate Program in Paediatric Dentistry has tuition fees, which can be modified by the Assembly of the School of Dentistry upon a proposal from the Postgraduate Program’s CC. Tuition fees are documented in the Analytical Budget of the Postgraduate Program.

Postgraduate students are obligated to pay tuition fees according to the regulations outlined in this Postgraduate Program’s Regulation. The payment of tuition fees is done on specified dates, which are determined in the Postgraduate Program in Paediatric Dentistry’s Regulation, along with the payment methods.

Postgraduate students are required to renew their enrollment at the beginning of each semester and prepay the tuition fees for the respective semester to cover part of the expenses of their education. The specific enrollment renewal form is signed by the Director of the Postgraduate Program in Paediatric Dentistry before it is submitted to the School’s Secretariat, accompanied by proof of tuition fee payment.

Tuition fees are determined as follows:

(A) For Greek citizens or citizens of EU countries, the amount is 3500 euros per semester of study.

(B) For citizens of countries outside the EU, the amount is 7000 euros per semester of study.

Tuition fees must be paid no later than the first week of the month in which the respective semester begins. The first installment is paid earlier, no later than 10 days after acceptance into the Postgraduate Program in Paediatric Dentistry. If the corresponding installment of the tuition fee is not paid on time, the postgraduate student will be required to withdraw from the clinical and theoretical training of the Postgraduate Program in Paediatric Dentistry.

Exemption from tuition fees: Postgraduate students are exempt from tuition fees in accordance with Article 86 of Law 4957/2022. It is emphasized that meeting the excellence requirements during the first cycle of studies is required for those applying for exemption in accordance with paragraph 5 of Article 86. Exempted students should not exceed a thirty percent (30%) proportion of the total number of students admitted to the Postgraduate Program. The application for exemption from tuition fees is submitted by the interested party to the Department within five (5) days after the completion of the student selection process in the Postgraduate Program in Paediatric Dentistry. Under no circumstances does financial hardship constitute a reason for non-selection in the Postgraduate Program in Paediatric Dentistry. The possibility of exemption from tuition fees is provided exclusively for enrollment in one (1) Postgraduate Program organized by Greek Higher Education Institutions. The necessary procedures for the successful completion for the granting of the right to free education are specified in the Postgraduate Program’s Regulation.

The “Postgraduate Program in Paediatric Dentistry” does not provide for the granting of scholarships.

The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.Th.) may award reciprocal scholarships to postgraduate students with the obligation to support the educational process and provide supplementary teaching work. The “Postgraduate Program in Paediatric Dentistry” determines the maximum amount of the scholarship per student, the maximum number of hours of their weekly employment, and other details regarding the granting of scholarships. Postgraduate students are informed following a relevant announcement by the Secretariat of the “Postgraduate Program in Paediatric Dentistry.
