Teaching in the PostGraduate Study Program «PROSTHODONTICS»    is conducted according to the course schedule prepared under the responsibility of the PostGraduate Study Program «PROSTHODONTICS»    Director.

Upon the commencement of studies in the PostGraduate Study Program «PROSTHODONTICS»    , a permanent faculty member (TRP) of the PostGraduate Study Program «PROSTHODONTICS»    is appointed as an Academic Advisor for each postgraduate student. The Academic Advisor’s role is to monitor the students’ academic progress, be informed by instructors of any continuous absences of students under their responsibility, and to inform these students (via the Secretariat) that such absence may lead to failure in the course. Additionally, the Academic Advisor provides assistance regarding the selection of the postgraduate diploma thesis, taking into account the postgraduate student’s research interests. Postgraduate students are obliged to contact their academic advisor for any problem that may affect the smooth progress of their studies.

The Academic Advisor provides the postgraduate student with the necessary counseling to meet the requirements of the PostGraduate Study Program «PROSTHODONTICS».

The Academic Advisor ensures regular meetings with the postgraduate students under their supervision, no less than two (2) times per semester. Their duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Identifying the postgraduate student’s needs and research interests, supporting their aptitudes and skills, and encouraging them to pursue areas that suit them.
  • Informing and facilitating the postgraduate student’s contact with the collective bodies of the PostGraduate Study Program «PROSTHODONTICS» and administrative services.
  • Providing assistance in preparing the individual semester study plan and determining the topic of the postgraduate diploma thesis.
  • Identifying students who have significant outstanding courses.
  • Providing care and developing a plan for these students.

The teaching staff, administrative staff, and relevant services of the Institution cooperate and support the Academic Advisors in their work. They also take into account information, observations, suggestions, and requests regarding any deficiencies or malfunctions that create problems for students, and any proposals for addressing them.

Upon recommendation from the PostGraduate Study Program «PROSTHODONTICS»    ‘s Coordinating Committee or the PostGraduate Study Program «PROSTHODONTICS»    Director, auxiliary teaching work may be assigned to doctoral candidates of the Department, under the supervision of a PostGraduate Study Program «PROSTHODONTICS»    instructor. Auxiliary work is defined as assisting faculty members (TRP) in their teaching duties, student practice, conducting tutorials, laboratory exercises, supervising examinations, and correcting assignments. By decision of the Departmental Assembly, auxiliary work may either be directly assigned or a call for expression of interest may be published for subjects offered within the PostGraduate Study Program «PROSTHODONTICS»    ‘s curriculum. The Call for Expression of Interest specifies the deadlines for submitting applications and the specific qualifications required.

Instructors who are on educational leave or suspension of duties may provide teaching services to the PostGraduate Study Program «PROSTHODONTICS»    if they deem their schedule permits, provided, of course, that under the prevailing circumstances this is substantially and practically feasible, a matter which must be competently judged on a case-by-case basis.
