Academic Calendar

The minimum time to finish the P.S.P. is three (3) semesters.

The academic year begins on September 1 and ends on August 31 of the following calendar year. The educational work of each academic year is structured in two semesters of study, in the winter and in the spring, each of which includes 13 weeks of teaching and one or two weeks of examinations.

Every semester of study includes educational activities corresponding to sixty (60) credit teaching units (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System – ECTS).

The exact dates are set by the University Senate and then by the School of Chemistry. In exceptional cases, however, the Minister of Education, upon a proposal of the Senate, regulates the beginning and the end of the two semesters outside the regular dates, to complete the necessary number of teaching weeks.

The academic calendar of each academic year is posted on the website of the P.S.P. before the beginning of the courses.
