Faculty and collaborating academic staff
The Institute pursues the fulfilment of its objectives through an enlarged, interdisciplinary approach, since its members are scholars who cover almost all fields of law. Furthermore, the Institute has employed and assumed into its apparatus every international collaboration with eminent Law Schools abroad (such as the Duke University School of Law – USA, the Faculty of Law at the University of Heidelberg – Germany, the Faculty of Law at Stockholm University – Sweden, the School of Law at Queen Mary University of London – United Kingdom, and the Faculty of Law at the University of Lorraine – France already established under the Excellence research project. It has also expanded its foreign network, concluding relations with other Law Schools (such as the Harvard Law School) and thus boasting a large number of partners abroad. Moreover, employing an approach of developing close collaborations with other institutions, the Institute has also cultivated crucial partnerships with the judicial authorities (:Administrative Court of Thessaloniki, Greek National School of Judges and Prosecutors), as well as relevant research centres and institutes in Greece and abroad (National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government, Centre of International and European Economic Law, the Kalliopi Koufa Foundation for the promotion of International and Human Rights Law, Excellence Cluster «The Formation of Normative Orders» – Frankfurt University, Criminal Justice Centre of the Queen Mary University of London).
