The CERN – SEENET-MTP PhD Training program

The School is a part of the CERN – SEENET-MTP – ICTP PhD training program, launched in 2015. ICTP officially joined this PhD program in 2019. This School is the first one in the 3rd cycle (2024-2026) of the joint CERN - SEENET-MTP - ICTP PhD Program.

The main idea has been to create an opportunity for a number of PhD students and young researchers from the SEENET-MTP countries as well as other countries, for instance; Italy, France, Germany, Slovenia etc to participate in a chain of self-connected, high-level School in this region.

The purpose of the School is to improve the students’ and young researchers’ knowledge in the scientific fields of the event. Each of the lecturers will give up to four lectures, each lasting 60 minutes, starting from an introductory level and then gradually approaching an advanced research level. These lectures will be followed by tutorials/exercises and discussions.

The 2024 CERN - SEENET-MTP - ICTP school will take place from Monday 10th to Saturday 15th June [Arrival/departure days 9th and 16th of June] at the Amphitheatre of the Central Library, AUTH, located in the University Campus of AUTH.
