The Postgraduate Program conducts an annual internal evaluation, which constitutes the regular monitoring, control, and review process of the program. The aim is continuous improvement of the level of educational provisions and the creation of a supportive and effective learning environment for the students. The Quality Assurance Unit collaborates with the Internal Quality Assurance Unit of the School of Film as part of the annual internal evaluation process of the program.
The Postgraduate Program has initiated its Internal Evaluation process in collaboration with the Coordinating Committee, the Quality Assurance Unit of the School of Film, and the Internal Quality Assurance Unit of the institution. Specifically, guidelines have been provided by the institution’s Internal Quality Assurance Unit, following the requirements of the Hellenic Authority for Higher Education Accreditation (H.A.A.E.). The program monitors and evaluates quality indicators such as the attractiveness of the program, evaluation of courses and faculty by students, mobility, support services for students, duration of studies, etc. Finally, the degree of interaction of the program with all stakeholders (students, graduates, and collaborating organizations) and their information is monitored. The Postgraduate Program is obligated to implement any recommendations made by the Internal Quality Assurance Unit as part of the internal evaluation.
The relationship of the Postgraduate Program with external organizations can be considered successful for its short operation. There is collaboration with the Thessaloniki Film Festival and the Laboratory of Study of Greek Cinema and Television (LSGCT) of the School of Film. Additionally, within the framework of an elective course taught in the last two years by Professor Deborah Jermyn, there is collaboration between students and the Women Over Fifty Film Festival. Finally, as in May 2024, the entire student body is planning to visit the Cannes Film Festival, efforts will be made to continue a more structured collaboration with graduates and students of the Postgraduate Program.
