The Msc Programme in “Pharmaceutical Technology” is organized by the Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Technology (Department of Pharmacy, AUTh). It aims at the theoretical and practical training of postgraduate students in the formulation of final pharmaceutical forms, quantitative and qualitative control methods, regulatory systems, and the technology of natural, biological and cosmetic products. The graduates of the Programme are excellent candidates for the R&D and QA/QC departments of the Pharmaceutical Industry. They can also pursue an academic career by continuing their studies to obtain a Doctorate Degree.

The process of selecting candidates is carried out by a competent Three-Member Selection and Examination Committee composed of members of the Coordinating Committee (CC) of the MSc program.

Categories of candidates eligible for enrollment in the MSc program in Pharmaceutical Technology include graduates of undergraduate programs of domestic and foreign Universities, specifically graduates of Departments: Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Medicine, Food Technology, and related Departments of domestic Universities and recognized equivalent Institutions abroad.

The Committee compiles a complete list of all candidates and, after the relevant examination, rejects those who do not meet the minimum criteria set and invites for an interview the eligible candidates who have met the prerequisites.

Specifically, the evaluation of candidates for admission to the MSc program includes:

  1. Degree grade
  2. Research activity relevant to the MSc program
  3. Professional experience related to the MSc program
  4. Possession of a second degree
  5. Possession of another postgraduate title
  6. Performance in a thesis relevant to the MSc program
  7. The grade of the oral interview
  8. Certified or exam-based proficiency in the English language
  9. Certified knowledge of other foreign languages

The interview is conducted in person or online by members of the Three-Member Selection and Examination Committee according to the criterion.

The MSc Programme in Pharmaceutical Technology offers extensive prospects and opportunities for its graduates. The main ones are:

Master’s degree requirements are set at a minimum of three (3) academic semesters.

The Study Programme includes a set of common compulsory core courses for all graduate students.

The graduate student is credited with 30 ECTS for each teaching semester and 30 ECTS for the successful completion of the Master’s Thesis with a purely research content (total of 90 ECTS).

The programme offers the opportunity for full-time or part-time enrollment.

Tuition Fees

The tuition fees for the program are 1,500.00€ per semester, and they are payable at the beginning of each semester.

Waiving of Tuition Fees

According to Article 86 of Law 4957, up to 30% of the total enrolled students can attend postgraduate study programs with waving of tuition fees. Specifically, students can apply for full (100%) or partial (50%) waving of the tuition fees if they meet the financial criteria and undergraduate degree GPA limit. The application for exemption from tuition fees is submitted by the interested party after the completion of the student admission process to the program.
