Quality Policy of the School of Dentistry at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH)
The School of Dentistry aims for continuous improvement in the quality of its academic programs and the educational, research, and administrative activities of the department.
The department’s quality policy aligns with the quality policy of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Simultaneously, it is undergoing the development of a comprehensive strategic plan that will further define and specify this policy. The primary objectives are summarized as follows:
A. Provision of high-quality education
B. Improvement of student performance
C. Development of high-level research – Integration with study programs
D. Enhancement of external orientation and internationalization
E. Continuous improvement of departmental infrastructure, operations, and services
The department’s quality policy delineates the strategic goals and aims to achieve the following quality objectives, pertaining to the overall functioning of the department and specifically the organization and operation of the undergraduate program:

A3. Alumni satisfaction and support of professional careers
A4. Quantitative and qualitative adequacy of teaching staff

The Internal Evaluation Team (IET) of the department, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Unit (MODIP) of AUTH, designs and proposes suitable actions and methods through which the above objectives can be achieved.
The implementation of the quality policy and the achievement of quality objectives, supporting the academic character and orientation of the department and the undergraduate program, are commitments of the department. These are made possible due to the high level of departmental personnel and the active participation of students in its activities.

The department encourages the certification of individual units with international quality assurance standards. Certified units adhere to the department’s quality policy and the quality policy specified by the relevant certification standards.
