Programme Overview

The Department of Dentistry at the School of Health Sciences organizes and operates a Postgraduate Program (MSc) titled: ‘Operative Dentistry.’

The objectives of the MSc program are:

1. To educate dentists to become specialists with comprehensive knowledge in the field of Dental Surgery and Aesthetic Dentistry.
2. To train them in the ability to seek additional knowledge and education throughout their careers.
3. To produce educators in Dental Surgery capable of clinical teaching.
4. To produce scientists capable of conducting scientific and research work.
5. To produce scientists capable of collaborating and communicating with teams of other specialists for the comprehensive management of problems in specialized patients.

The purpose of the MSc program in ‘Operative Dentistry’ is to specialize in the methods and applications of dental science and aesthetic dentistry, train dental graduates in specialized knowledge, and research in the field. The aim is to contribute to the formation and promotion of scientific thinking in dentistry, provide high-level dental care, and educate the population on oral health issues to meet the real needs of science and society.

The ‘Postgraduate Program in Operative Dentistry’ aims to prepare dentists for the practice of Dental and Aesthetic Dental Surgery at a modern and advanced level, providing complete and comprehensive academic education and sufficient clinical experience across the entire spectrum.

The learning outcomes and qualifications of those who successfully complete the MSc program include:

1. Understanding and application of advanced principles and techniques in Dental Surgery.
2. Diagnosis, design, and implementation of complex and aesthetic treatments on clinical patients.
3. Application of advanced technologies and materials in Dental Surgery practice.
4. Development of skills for managing difficult cases and complications in aesthetic problems related to Interventional Dental Surgery.
5. Communication and collaboration with other healthcare professionals for the integrated care of patients.
6. Specialized knowledge and skills in Dental Surgery.
7. Ability to handle different cases of Dental Surgery successfully.
8. Specialized knowledge of advanced technologies and materials in the field.

Graduates will be professionals in Operative Dentistryy with specialized knowledge and skills to provide high-quality aesthetic dental care.

The postgraduate studies aim to promote knowledge, develop research and technologies, satisfy educational, research, social, cultural, and developmental needs of the country, train high-level scientists capable of contributing to theoretical and applied areas of specific knowledge disciplines, specialized thematic units, or individual branches of the scientific subjects of the first cycle of studies of the Departments, and to produce and disseminate knowledge, expertise, methodologies, tools, and research results in the scientific field in which each Department operates.
